JBDS has been appointed to carry the tunnelling and drainage connection works package for Multiplex Damac Tower.
Damac Tower also known as Aykon London One Toweris a £240M residential development comprising of 450 residential units, in addition to office space, a roof garden, and residential amenities across a 50-storey North Tower and a 24-storey South Tower, situated in Nine Elms on the South Bank, in the midst of a multi-billion pound investment that is transforming the area.
JBDS will be carrying a comprehensive tunnelling and drainage connection works which will consist of 5m shaft excavation, and timber heading (tunnel), connecting to existing Thames Water sewer placing pipework back to nearly formed manhole chamber type B. Works are being carried out on TFL red route with extensive traffic management set up and street works licences and lane rental managed on behalf of the client. Additionally, all temporary works designs will be checked off by independent engineer.
Works will commence in August for 4 weeks whereby the JBDS team will be working 24 hours a day for 7 days a week.
This extremely challenging location has taken 3 months of negotiation with TFL to allow works to take place.
