JBDS is always on the hunt for innovative ways to become a more environmentally friendly company and this year we have decided to commit to this mindset more than ever.

We are kicking of the year with a trial of Shell GTL (Gas-To-Liquid) a cleaner alternative to standard red diesel that are used in our on road and off road applications.

The cleaner fuel can be used can be used as a direct replacement for conventional diesel fuels in heavy-duty and light-duty engines without the need for engine modifications, new infrastructure or vehicle investment.

Shell GTL Fuel has been proven to be more biodegradable than conventional diesel with tests showing that it can be classified as ‘readily biodegradable’. What’s more, Shell GTL Fuel was not detectable in soil 51 days after being introduced.

JBDS has started trialling the Shell GTL at our Nine Elms site and are looking for ways to switch from regular diesel to this cleaner alternative across all our operations.
